DYNAMIN is taken orally.

Adults: It is recommended they take one tablet a day.

Swallow the tablet whole with the help of a glass of liquid, preferably water.

Do not take continuously. If the symptoms get worse or persist, for more than 15 days after beginning treatment, consult a doctor.

This medication can be obtained without prescription for the treatment of minor ailments, without visiting a doctor. However, you must use DYNAMIN carefully to obtain best results.

DYNAMIN - NEW FORMULA

Each tablet contains 30 mg of caffeine, 2 mg of thiamine hydrochloride (vitamin B1), 2.5 mg of pyroxidine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), 2 microgrammes of cyancobalamin (vitamin B12), 400 microgrammes of folic acid and 50 mg of L-glutamine.

 

The other components (excipients) are: saccharose, mannitol, potato starch, colloidal anhydrous silicon, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stereate, butyl methacrylate copolymer, 2-dimethylaminoethyl and methyl (1:2:1), gum arabic, calcium carbonate, azorubine (E-122), white wax and carnauba wax.

1. WHAT DYNAMIN IS, AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR

DYNAMIN is a medicine that comes in coated tablet form.

Each packet contains 15 tablets.

DYNAMIN is a formulation based on a tonic (caffeine), a restorative (L-glutamine) along with vitamins of the B group.

DYNAMIN is used in the prevention of deficiencies of B group vitamins, during periods of convalescence which are marked by tiredness, weakness and dizzy spells.

2. BEFORE TAKING DYAMIN

Do not take Dynamin:

If you have ever had allergic reactions to any of the components or to cobalt, or cobalmines or any other xanthines (present in coffee, tea and cacao), if evidence of allergy appears, treatment must be suspended.

If you suffer from heart defects, epilepsy, insomnia, anxiety, gastrointestinal ulcers, hypertension or liver problems.

If you are suffering from megaloblastic anaemia during pregnancy.

If you suffer from hereditary atrophy of the optic nerve (Leber’s disease)

If you suffer from pernicious addisonian anaemia.

If you are under 12 years old.


Take special care with DYNAMIN:

If you are diabetic: the presence of caffeine can produce an increase in plasma glucose levels.

If you suffer from arterial blood pressure problems, you will need to monitor them due to the possibility of raised blood pressure.

If you are taking heart medicine, consult your doctor beforehand.

If you suffer from gastritis, consult your doctor beforehand.

If you suffer from Parkinson’s disease the presence of pyroxidine requires special clinical observation.

Dynamin must not be used as a substitute for a balanced diet. The provision of other vitamins and minerals must be considered.

Interactions with food and drink

Do not take with drinks containing caffeine (coffee, tea, cola drinks)


Pregnancy

Consult your pharmacist before taking any medication.

 

Important notice for women

If you are pregnant, or believe you may be, consult your doctor before taking this medicine. The consumption of medication during pregnancy can be dangerous for the embryo or foetus, and should be closely controlled by your doctor.

Caffeine can pass through the placenta. Do not take DYNAMIN if you are pregnant or think you could be.

 

Breastfeeding

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicines.

Caffeine passes into breast milk in small quantities.

Do not take DYNAMIN if you are breastfeeding a baby.

 

Use in children

DYNAMIN should not be administered to children under 12.

 

Use in the elderly

The elderly are more sensitive to the effects of caffeine. Consult your doctor.

 

Athletes and sportspeople

Athletes are advised that DYNAMIN contains a component which can result in a positive sample in doping tests.

 

Driving and operating machinery.

Recommended doses of DYNAMIN have no recorded negative effect on the ability to drive or operate machinery.

 

Important information on some of the components of DYNAMIN

This medicine contains 167 mg of saccharose per tablet, which must be taken into consideration in patients with hereditary intolerance to fructose, problems with the absorption of glucose/galactose, saccharose-isomaltase deficiency and diabetic patients.

This medicine contains azorubine (E 122) as an excipient. It can cause allergy-type reactions, including asthma, especially in patients allergic to acetylsalicylic acid.

 

Use of other medicines

Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, or have used recently, any other medication, including those acquired without prescription.

Remember that these instructions apply equally to any medicines used before and any that may be used after commencing treatment with DYNAMIN.

Above all it is important to advise your doctor if you are using:

Oral contraceptives, certain anti-ulcer drugs (cimetidina/cimetidine), antacids, zinc supplements, sulfasalacina (intestinal anti-inflammatory), medication containing alcohol, certain anti-infectious drugs (pipemdic acid), ciprofloxacina (ciproflaxacin), enoxacina (enoxacin), trimetoprim (trimethoprim), neomicina (neomycin), cloranfenicol, anti-malarials, aminosalycilic acid (for tuberculosis), levodopa (anti-parkinsonian), disulfiram (anti-alcoholism), clozapina (clozapine) (for schizophrenia), barbiturates (for sleep disorders, sedatives and anticonvulsants), benzodiazepinas (benzodiazepines) (for anxiety, antidepressants, lithium (anti-manic), stimulants of the central nervous system, fenitoína (phenytoin) and primidona (primidone) (anti-epileptics), adrenergic bronchial-dilators (anti-asthmatics), antihistamines, sympaticomimetics (decongestives) mexiletina (mexiletine) (anti-arrhythmic), colestiramina and colestipol (for cholesterol), metoxaleno (metoxalen) (antipsoriasic), tiroxina (thyroxine) (for thyroids), fluorouracilo (fluorouracil) (anticancer), triamtereno (triamterene) (to augment the elimination of urine).

Do not use with other medicines containing caffeine.

 

Interference with diagnostic tests

Dynamin can interfere with blood, urine or other diagnostic tests.

Inform your doctor you are taking this medication.

3. HOW TO TAKE DYNAMIN

Follow these instructions unless otherwise advised by your doctor.

Remember to take your medication.

If you believe DYAMIN is too strong or weak, tell your doctor or pharmacist.

DYNAMIN is taken orally.

If you take more DYNAMIN than you should:

Overdose of DYNAMIN can cause: insomnia, agitation, deliria, nausea, abdominal pains, diarrhoea, shakes, dehydration, fever, palpitations, tachycardia and cardiac arrhythmia.

In case of overdose consult your doctor or pharmacist immediately, or consult the Servicio de Información Tóxicológica (91 562 04 20), giving them the product’s name and the quantity ingested.

 

If you forget to take this medicine:

Do not take a double dose.

4. POSSIBLE ADVERSE EFFECTS

Like all medicines, DYNAMIN can have negative effects.

The adverse effects of DYNAMIN are principally produced by caffeine.

 

The most characteristic are:

Very frequently: Insomnia, agitation and excitement.

Frequently: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pains, head aches, shakes, disorientation, palpitations, change in heart rhythm, irritability, hot flushes, difficulty breathing, increase in quantity of urine, raised blood pressure and ringing in the ears.

Rarely: Allergic reactions expressed through skin and respiratory problems, general discomfort.

5. STORING DYNAMIN

Keep DYNAMIN out of the sight and reach of children.

 

There are no special conditions for storage.

 

Expiry: Do not use DYNAMIN after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
